Located on the banks of the Indrayani River, in the vicinity of the holy Gatha temple of Dehu,

Gathagram is India’s first carbon-neutral city.

 

The ambitious project implies an exceptionally complex and substantial undertaking in

regard to energy efficiency, sustainability and water supply for which the Orange County

Group is in collaboration with The Fraunhofer Institute and the Hochschule Karlsruhe,

Germany.

 

One of the most fascinating architectural design of PQI, once completed, Gathagram will

house 4 residential and 2 commercial districts, 2 international schools, a 15-acre bio-

diversity park, hospitals, and hospitality properties; being only dependent on renewable

energy, 100% waste management, 100% water sufficiency and e-mobility.

 

The project will be built under the auspice of the Smart Cities Mission, initiated by the Indian

Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, to develop 109 cities in India and was launched in

January 2017 by Mr. Kunal Kumar, the Municipal Commissioner, Pune and Mr. Winfried

Kretschmann, the Minister-President, Baden-Württemberg, Germany along with eighty more

German economic, academic and research delegates.
