Hall of residence Bahnstadt construction field Z6 south

The hall of residence was built in Heidelberg and is part of the Bahnstadt development in which all buildings were constructed to passive house standards, including the hall of residence at the main axis of Bahnstadt, the "Langen Anger“. The angled building with its main facades at Langen Anger and Nightingalestraße offers 218 residential units, of which 3 units were built suitable for wheelchairs. All others were planned as barrier-free apartments.

On the ground floor there are, along with the communal areas in the hall of residence, also 2-3 commercial units (each depending on rental division), readable by the large-scale glass facade in the base area. The other base areas are recessed from the upper building part through colourful sandstone areas. The upper floors have an ETICS facade with plastered areas and slanted intrados areas to the windows.
